Sunekos is an injectable bio-remodelling treatment that regenerates skin from within. Unlike traditional fillers that add volume, it combines hyaluronic acid with six amino acids, the building blocks of collagen and elastin, to stimulate your skin's own repair. It is particularly effective for the under-eye area, midface, neck, and décolletage, where ageing produces crepiness, fine lines, and dullness. At Āatma Aesthetics London, every session is administered by a GMC-registered doctor inside our CQC-registered clinic at The O2, Greenwich.
The Approach

Lips That Still Look Like Yours

You may have considered lip filler before but worried about looking overfilled, unnatural, or "done". Many clinics inject volume first and shape second, which is how the recognisable "pillow lip" look happens.

At Āatma, we approach lips the opposite way. Every treatment starts with your existing lip anatomy, your facial proportions, and what subtle change would genuinely enhance how your face works as a whole. Sometimes that means a small amount of product for definition. Sometimes it means more. We never inject a "standard" volume.

Subtle enhancement that respects your natural lip shape
Anatomical, doctor-led injection technique to minimise bruising and asymmetry
Honest planning, including telling you when less product, or none yet, is the right answer

How Lip Fillers Work

Hyaluronic Acid, Placed With Precision

Lip fillers use hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in your skin, to add subtle volume, shape, and structure to the lips. The product is placed in specific anatomical zones depending on your goals: the lip border for definition, the body of the lip for volume, or the corners to address downturned mouth shape.

Hyaluronic acid attracts water, so it integrates with your tissue gradually over the first two weeks, settling into a natural, soft finish. Different products have different consistencies (firmness, gel structure) and we select the right product for your specific anatomy and goals at consultation.

Treatment is administered by Dr Shaan Patel at our doctor-led clinic inside The O2 in London.

Is Lip Filler Right for You?

Lip filler is ideal for:

- Thin or asymmetric lips you would like to subtly enhance
- Age-related volume loss or thinning of the lip border
- Downturned mouth corners that make you look tired or sad
- Loss of definition to the lip border (vermillion border) without wanting added volume
- Smokers' lines or fine vertical lines around the mouth

Not the right starting point if your concerns are mainly around the lower face shape, chin projection, or skin quality around the mouth. We will discuss alternatives at consultation.

Meet Dr Shaan Patel

Dr Shaan founded Āatma after years of medical training at the University of Southampton and clinical experience across hospitals in the UK and Australia. That foundation shapes how he practises aesthetic medicine: methodical, anatomically led, and conservative.

His approach is built on a simple rule - treat what's in front of you, not what's in fashion. That means honest consultations, treatment plans that prioritise long-term face shape over short-term fixes, and a willingness to say "no, not yet" or "no, not this" when it's the right answer.

"My goal is to keep you looking like you - naturally refreshed, never overdone."

Natural Results That Age With You

Conservative Treatment Planning

We won't always recommend the maximum protocol. After consultation, you'll receive a plan built around what your skin actually needs - sometimes that's fewer sessions, sometimes none yet. Honest care above upsell.

What Clients Say About Their Results

FAQ

Got questions?
We’ve got answers

How much lip filler do I need?

Most clients need 0.5ml to 1ml at their first treatment. Heavy volume in a single session usually looks overfilled and unnatural. We will recommend a conservative starting volume based on your existing lip anatomy and goals, and you can always build gradually with a second session if needed. We rarely use more than 1ml in a single appointment, regardless of the trends.

Will my lips look natural?

That is our whole approach. We do not believe lip filler should be visible to others as filler. The aim is subtle enhancement that complements your facial features, not an aesthetic that makes your lips the first thing people notice. Honest consultations and conservative volumes underpin this.

How long does lip filler last?

Typically 6 to 12 months, depending on the product used, your metabolism, lifestyle factors, and how often you smile and speak. Higher metabolism and a very active mouth (lots of speaking, eating, exercise) tends to break product down faster. Most clients return for a touch-up between 9 and 12 months.

Will it hurt?

We use topical anaesthetic to numb the lips before treatment, and modern lip fillers include lidocaine for added comfort during the procedure. Most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure with occasional pinches, not painful. The lips are sensitive but well-tolerated with proper technique.

Is there any downtime?

You can expect mild swelling for 24 to 48 hours, occasionally up to 72 hours, and the possibility of small bruises at injection points. Lips often look fuller initially due to swelling, then settle to their true result over 7 to 14 days. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and very hot environments for 24 hours, and not booking lip filler within two weeks of a major event.

What if I don't like my results?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are reversible. If you are unhappy with your result, the product can be dissolved using hyaluronidase. This is rarely needed when treatment is planned conservatively, but knowing the option exists is part of what makes hyaluronic acid lip fillers a safe choice.
