Vitamin injections deliver key vitamins directly into the muscle, bypassing the digestive system so the body can take up more of what it is given than it often can from tablets alone. They are a quick, convenient way to top up levels and support how you feel day to day.

At Āatma we offer three options. B12 is popular for supporting energy and general wellbeing, B-complex provides a broader spread of B vitamins, and biotin is chosen to support healthy hair, skin, and nails. You can have one or combine them to suit you. They work best as a complement to a balanced diet and good sleep, not a replacement. At Āatma Aesthetics London, every injection is administered by a GMC-registered doctor inside our CQC-registered clinic at The O2, Greenwich.
The Approach

A Simple Boost, Done Properly

The appeal of a vitamin injection is its simplicity, but it should still be done with care. Dr Shaan briefly checks that the treatment is appropriate for you, helps you choose the right vitamin or combination for what you want to support, and administers it quickly and comfortably.

There is no downtime, so it fits easily around a busy day, and you can build it into a regular routine if it suits you.

How vitamin injections work

Straight to Where It's Needed

When you take a vitamin as a tablet, it has to pass through the digestive system before it reaches the bloodstream, and how much is actually absorbed can vary a great deal from person to person. An injection delivers the vitamin directly into the muscle, from where it is taken up steadily, making it a reliable way to top up levels.

Each option plays a different role. B12 supports normal energy release and the nervous system, B-complex offers a wider range of B vitamins that work together, and biotin contributes to the maintenance of healthy hair, skin, and nails. Dr Shaan will help you choose what fits your goals, on its own or in combination.

Treatment is administered by Dr Shaan Patel at our doctor-led clinic inside The O2 in London.

Are Vitamin Injections Right for You?

-Feeling tired, run down, or low on energy

-Managing busy or demanding lifestyles

-Wanting to support healthy hair, skin, and nails

-Following a vegetarian or vegan diet, with less B12 from food

-Topping up alongside a balanced diet and good sleep

Vitamin injections support general wellbeing and are not a substitute for investigating persistent symptoms. If you feel unwell, or tiredness and other symptoms continue, Dr Shaan will recommend a proper assessment with your GP rather than relying on injections alone.

Meet Dr Shaan Patel

Dr Shaan founded Āatma after years of medical training at the University of Southampton and clinical experience across hospitals in the UK and Australia. That foundation shapes how he practises aesthetic medicine: methodical, anatomically led, and conservative.

His approach is built on a simple rule - treat what's in front of you, not what's in fashion. That means honest consultations, treatment plans that prioritise long-term face shape over short-term fixes, and a willingness to say "no, not yet" or "no, not this" when it's the right answer.

"My goal is to keep you looking like you - naturally refreshed, never overdone."

Conservative Treatment Planning

We won't always recommend the maximum protocol. After consultation, you'll receive a plan built around what your skin actually needs - sometimes that's fewer sessions, sometimes none yet. Honest care above upsell.

FAQ

Got questions?
We’ve got answers

Which should I choose, B12, B-complex, or biotin?

It depends on what you want to support. B12 is the most popular choice for energy and general wellbeing, B-complex gives a broader spread of B vitamins, and biotin is chosen for hair, skin, and nails. You can have one or combine them, and Dr Shaan will help you decide at your appointment.

Does it hurt?

Very little. It is a quick injection into the muscle, usually the upper arm, using a fine needle. Most people feel only a brief sting, and there is no downtime afterwards.

How often should I have them?

This varies with the vitamin and your goals. Many people choose a top-up every two to four weeks, while others have them occasionally when they feel they need it. Dr Shaan will suggest a sensible schedule rather than encouraging more than you need.

When will I feel the benefit?

It differs between vitamins and individuals. Some people notice a lift in energy within a few days of a B12 injection, while biotin's benefits for hair and nails build gradually over weeks as they grow. They are best thought of as ongoing support rather than an instant fix.

Are they safe, and are there side effects?

For most healthy adults they are well tolerated. You may have brief tenderness at the injection site. Because they are administered by a GMC-registered doctor, your suitability is checked first, and Dr Shaan will discuss anything relevant to you beforehand.

How is this different from supplements or an IV drip?

Tablets rely on digestion, where absorption can be limited, whereas an injection delivers the vitamin directly into the muscle. An IV drip delivers fluids and nutrients into a vein over a longer session. A vitamin injection is the quickest, most targeted of the three, and Dr Shaan can advise which approach suits you.
