HydraFacial is a multi-step treatment that does the work of several facials in one session. It deeply cleanses, gently exfoliates, clears impurities from the pores, and infuses the skin with hydrating and antioxidant serums, leaving it visibly clearer, smoother, and refreshed straight away.

We offer two options. The Signature combines the core HydraFacial steps with a gentle SkinCeuticals glycolic and lactic acid peel to resurface and brighten. The Platinum builds on this with lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness and targeted LED light therapy to address specific concerns. Both suit most skin types and need no downtime, making them ideal as a one-off glow before an event or as a regular part of your skincare routine. HydraFacial uses a patented handpiece that works in steps. It first cleanses and gently exfoliates to lift away dead skin and surface debris, then uses a gentle vortex action to draw impurities out of the pores, the part that makes extractions comfortable rather than harsh.

At the same time, the skin is infused with hydrating and antioxidant serums, so it is replenished as it is cleared. The Signature adds a gentle SkinCeuticals peel to resurface and brighten, while the Platinum adds lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness and LED light to target specific concerns. The result is clearer, smoother, more radiant skin from the very first session.

Dr Shaan founded Āatma after years of medical training at the University of Southampton and clinical experience across hospitals in the UK and Australia. That foundation shapes how he practises aesthetic medicine: methodical, anatomically led, and conservative.

What does a HydraFacial feel like?

It is a comfortable, relaxing treatment. Most people describe the handpiece as a cool, gentle sensation moving across the skin, with no pain and no need for numbing. There is none of the discomfort that can come with harsher extractions.

What is the difference between Signature and Platinum?

The Signature is the core HydraFacial with a gentle SkinCeuticals peel to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate. The Platinum includes everything in the Signature and adds lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness and LED light therapy to target specific concerns, for a more complete result.

Is there any downtime?

No. Your skin may look slightly flushed for a short while, but most people leave with an immediate glow and can apply make-up and return to normal straight away. It is a popular choice before events for exactly this reason.

How often should I have one?

For general skin maintenance, around once a month works well and keeps the skin clear and radiant. For a specific occasion, a single treatment in the days beforehand gives a great result. Dr Shaan will suggest a rhythm that suits your skin and goals.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

For most people, yes. The treatment is gentle and the serums and peel strength can be adjusted to suit more reactive skin. If your skin is very sensitive or reactive, this is assessed first so the treatment is tailored safely.

How is it different from a regular facial?

A standard facial is largely manual, while HydraFacial uses a device to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate in controlled steps, with serums infused as it goes. The result is usually more consistent and more visible immediately, with no downtime.
