The Glass Skin HydraFacial brings together the two things a true glass skin finish needs: deeply clean, smooth skin, and layer upon layer of hydration sealed in properly.

The treatment begins with a full HydraFacial, which cleanses, gently exfoliates, clears the pores, and infuses hydrating serums in one comfortable session. LED light therapy follows to calm and condition the skin. Then comes the K-beauty finish: a Medicube collagen wrapping mask envelops the skin, before PDRN pink peptide serum and collagen jelly cream are massaged in as a final seal, locking hydration at the surface where the light-reflective, dewy effect lives. SPF closes the treatment.

The result is skin that looks poreless, plumped, and luminous from the first session, and builds with each treatment in a course. Every Glass Skin HydraFacial is carried out in our doctor-led, CQC-registered clinic at The O2, Greenwich.

The Approach

Glow That Is Built in Layers, Not Painted On

Glass skin is not one product or one step. It is the result of skin that is genuinely clean, genuinely hydrated, and finished so the surface holds moisture rather than losing it.

That is how this treatment is structured. The HydraFacial does the deep work first, because no amount of layering looks good over congested or rough skin. LED then calms and conditions. Only once the skin is properly prepared do the Korean skincare layers go on, each one massaged in and sealed, so the dewy finish is sitting on healthy skin rather than covering tired skin.

Carried out in our doctor-led clinic, it is a relaxing treatment with immediate results and nothing to recover from, so you can walk straight back out into your day, or your evening, glowing.

How the Glass Skin HydraFacial Works

Deep Clean First, Then Layer and Seal

The treatment starts with the full HydraFacial protocol. The patented handpiece cleanses and gently exfoliates to lift away dead skin, then uses a comfortable vortex action to clear impurities from the pores while infusing hydrating and antioxidant serums. This is the foundation: smooth, clean, evenly textured skin.

LED light therapy follows, calming the skin and preparing it for the finishing layers.

The final stage is inspired by Korean skincare ritual. A Medicube collagen wrapping mask envelops the face, holding hydration against the skin. Once removed, PDRN pink peptide serum is massaged in, followed by collagen jelly cream as a finishing seal, locking that hydration at the surface. This layered sealing is what creates the signature glass skin look: plumped, dewy, and light-reflective. SPF completes the treatment so your glow is protected on the way out.

Treatment is carried out at our doctor-led clinic inside The O2 in London.

Is the Glass Skin HydraFacial Right for You?

-Dull, dehydrated, or tired-looking skin that has lost its glow

-Uneven texture or visible pores that stop light reflecting evenly

-A dewy, plumped, "glass skin" finish for an event or photos

-Skin that feels tight or rough despite regular moisturiser

-A regular treatment to build and maintain a luminous complexion

It is a cosmetic facial rather than a medical treatment, so it is not designed to manage active acne, rosacea, or other skin conditions that need clinical care. The occlusive final layers are also not the right fit for actively congested or breakout-prone skin. Dr Shaan will assess your skin and advise if a different treatment would serve you better.

Meet Dr Shaan Patel

Dr Shaan founded Āatma after years of medical training at the University of Southampton and clinical experience across hospitals in the UK and Australia. That foundation shapes how he practises aesthetic medicine: methodical, anatomically led, and conservative.

His approach is built on a simple rule - treat what's in front of you, not what's in fashion. That means honest consultations, treatment plans that prioritise long-term face shape over short-term fixes, and a willingness to say "no, not yet" or "no, not this" when it's the right answer.

"My goal is to keep you looking like you - naturally refreshed, never overdone."

FAQ

What is glass skin?

Glass skin is a look that came from Korean skincare: skin so smooth, even, and deeply hydrated that it reflects light like glass. It is not a filter effect or a product you apply once, but the result of clean, well-exfoliated skin layered with hydration that is properly sealed in. This treatment is designed to create that finish in a single session and build it over a course.

How long does the glass skin effect last?

The immediate dewy finish is at its best for the first few days and the overall improvement in hydration and texture lasts around one to two weeks from a single session. With a course of four treatments spaced four weeks apart, the baseline quality of your skin improves, so the glow becomes something your skin holds rather than something a facial gives it.

Is there any downtime?

No. Your skin may look slightly flushed for a short while, but most people leave with an immediate glow and can return to normal straight away. Because the finishing layers are already sealed with SPF, there is nothing you need to do afterwards. It is an ideal treatment in the days before an event.

Why a course of four?

A single session gives an instant result, but hydration and texture improve cumulatively. Four sessions spaced four weeks apart allow each treatment to build on the last, which is when the glass skin finish stops being an occasional effect and becomes how your skin looks day to day. After the course, a monthly maintenance session keeps it there.

Is it suitable for sensitive or breakout-prone skin?

For most skin types, yes, and the serums and peel strength are adjusted for more reactive skin. The exception is actively congested or breakout-prone skin, because the final sealing layers are occlusive and can make congestion worse. If that is your skin right now, we will recommend a clarifying HydraFacial protocol first and move you to Glass Skin once your skin is ready.

How is this different from the Platinum HydraFacial?

The Platinum is a complete HydraFacial with lymphatic drainage and LED, and it remains our recommendation for deep cleansing and general skin health. The Glass Skin HydraFacial takes the same foundation and adds a dedicated finishing stage: a collagen wrapping mask, peptide serum, and jelly cream layered and sealed in the K-beauty style. If your priority is the dewy, light-reflective glass skin look, this is the one designed for it.
